Recent trend
Devon has been falling: its share of boys born has shrunk over the last 10 years. It now stands at 7% of its 1997 peak.
Boy or girl?
Over the last 10 years, 14% of children named Devon were recorded as girls and 86% as boys. The file records sex, not a name's gender, and the share is measured over ten years rather than all time, so a name that has changed sides shows where it is now.
